My daughter started high school today...

my husband asked me how i felt about that...did i feel sad, etc..??

well, i'm definetly touched by how precious time is and how fleeting it is, and so makes me apprecitate each new milestone even more.

i was very excited about her new venture, and i can't wait to hear all about it.

to me this seems cruel.

after my divorce i heard from a friend that my ex-husband's new wife was doing this to his son to stop him from telling lies.

i was very upset about it especially since he had learned to lie from his father.. i think it is mean, what do you think about it?.

you will never know what a jw will do to get you to a meeting.

i have been having trouble with my mom ever since i left the jw's.

she has tried everything to get me to the meetings,blackmail,bribes,peer presure.she has gotten my good jw friends to ask and encourage me to go.

i was also dating a young sis at the time and was so thrilled that my family would see the beauty of this 'spiritual paradise'.

my mom and three sisters went and my mother was clear that she would not tolerate anything to embarass me.

to get a break from my jw parents when i was 17 (i'm 25 now) i took an apartment of my own.

i was working full time and going to school.

a busy schedule that allowed me to miss meetings without them constantly hounding me.

my parents were both very strict, and i wasn't allowed any toys at the hall.

my rations included a copy of my book of bible stories, and a pen and note pad.

my parents were strict to the point of not allowing me to draw pictures, i had to "take notes".
